BEST SANDWICHES IN SD. I’ve been eating Mad Munch for almost 10 years, dating back to their OB farmers market days. I’m so happy that they opened a shop on Newport, so I can enjoy their sandwiches more often! My favorite sandwich is Pump Up The Jam, sometimes I’ll add bacon which is a great addition. Most recently, I tried the July special, the Sticky-Icky: a 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter and jelly. It was amazing. It’s 8:00 AM and I’m seriously considering going back to Mad Munch as soon as they open to be able to enjoy it all over again. Not only is the food incredible, but the owners are lovely people and I’m glad any chance I can stop in to support their business.
We had to try the Big Rick, TD & Fletch Sandwich...and man, oh man! WAS it an amazing sandwich! Not only are the three meats (sausage, bacon, and ham) a perfect representation of the guys on the 101.5 KGB morning show, but they are not overpowering the three cheeses. BUT the best part of it is the bread and the crunchiness of it all! It includes a donation to the Red Cross, so you eat well, feel well, and do well all in one sandwich. I wish I could leave more than one review! Just delicious and amazing service! The milkshakes are to die for and the sandwiches are out of this world. I took one bite, called them and asked if they catered 😂 and they do!! Try the pump up the jam sandwich and a chocolate caramel milkshake. You will not be disappointed!
I love this place! I don't love in the area, so when I'm in OB, I always stop in for a pump up the jam- add turkey! Everything I've tried is awesome though. Great local vibes, delicious food and friendly staff 💯
This is hands down comfort food. If your going to get a sandwich, Stop don't do it! Grill cheese is something our moms made us. These people ( absolutely wonderful by the way) have brought it's to the beach and made it their own. Dude no joke got I've only eaten the bacon steet grill cheese and to day I add the most wonderful tomato soup I've ever ever had. Thank you Katie and your husband. Love your place I will never eat anything else again ( ☺️☺️). I give the 100 ⭐'s fyi it's worth every penny and I ate the soup first but left a little. Wish this had a scratch and sniff app so you can smell the most wonderful tomato soup every. Oh and the sandwich is cut in four so you can share 😉😉
